📕 BOOK 24 - The Murder At World’s End by Ross Montgomery

📖 As Tithe Hall locks down against the incoming apocalypse, Viscount Stockingham-Welt is murdered whilst apparently alone in his sealed office. Knowing his background puts him in the firing line, new butler and ex-con Stephen Pike finds an unlikely ally in family matriarch Decima Stockingham to solve this seemingly impossible mystery.

💭 Look, I just think it’s disappointing that a book which promises to be an end-of-the-world murder mystery reveals itself to be a false-call by a survivalist fantasist so early on. It turns what could be a unique and exciting take on the genre into a fairly run-of-the-mill locked room mystery. Still, it was a fun and absorbing read with a decent mystery behind it.
