📕 BOOK 21 - Termush by Sven Holm (translated by Sylvia Clayton)

📖 In a post-apocalyptic world, people of a certain means have paid for a safe haven inside a luxury resort. But as time goes on and outsiders come knocking, the finely balanced social dynamics begin creating class tensions.

💭 Psychological and highly claustrophobic with a cold and detached minimalist narrative that elevates the piece, I did find this book to be engaging but I personally struggle to connect with the novella format. That being said, whilst I found its inevitable open-endedness to be unsatisfying, this one has stuck with me as a fascinating exploration of privilege and survival.

🧶 Knitting Notes: 39x50 stockinette square with a 4-row/3-stitch garter border. First attempt at stranded knitted for horizontal stripes. Duplicate stitch details.
